I used to have heart burn and I took the little purple pill for a little while and I would eat antacids like they were candy, well something I left out was I was also overweight. I am not saying that everybody with heartburn is overweight but before getting placed on prescription drugs you might try adjusting your diet to see if that helps. I gave up starches, like potatoes etc. and the heartburn gradually went away. I say it is always better to try natural remedies before prescription drugs and this article is just another reason why.
